Press the button above to open Safalra’s Javascript Picture Viewer demo. The photograph shown is of the famous English seaside resort of Torquay (where I live) when it snowed on Christmas Day 2004. Torquay has less snow than anyway else in mainland Britain, so this was a rare treat.

No Javascript program this complex is entirely free from bugs — these are the known issues:

• Some versions of Mozilla display the ‘forbidden’/‘no drag’ cursor when attempting to resize or drag the window
• Internet Explorer changes the cursor from a resize cursor back to a normal pointer when you press the mouse down
• A particular combination of mouse wheel movements in Internet Explorer can cause the window to fly a thousand pixels off the bottom of the screen before coming back
